Shalom Everyone,
Busy couple of days leading into our exciting free weekend we just started.
On Wednesday we went to the famous Blind Museum. The museum lets you stand in the shoes of a blind person and get a chance to see what life is like for them everyday. Our tour was life by a blind person and explored various rooms in the pitch black. It was an incredible experience for us all and we gained a greater appreciation and respect for the blind in doing so. Afterwards we went to SACH. SACH (Save A Child’s Heart) is an organization founded by an Israeli Oleh. The organization gives free heart surgeries to any child from anywhere in the world. The kids come and they simply treat them- no ifs and buts about it. Truly a remarkable place.
On Thursday we went to the City of David where we rediscovered biblical Jerusalem and learned about some of the most significant archaeological finds ever. The City of David culminated in walking through Hizkiyahu’s Aqueduct and learning how it saved the city.
Off to the free weekend. We hit the south beginning Sunday!
Until next time….
Shabbat Shalom!
