Shalom TJJ Bus 5 Family,
On Tuesday we went to Ein Gedi and walked through the trails that King David and King Saul had their famous encounter. Following we went to Masada and learnt about all the history that took place on the famous mountain top where Jewish rebels lived during the time of the destruction of our Holy Temple. We ended off the day at the beach and dipped into the Dead Sea before we made our way down to Eilat
On Wednesday we began our day with a 4:00 AM wake up! Why? Because we went to hike Mt. Tzfachot to hit the top of the mountain by sunrise. Nearly the whole bus woke up and enjoyed the incredible sight together. The weather was very hot and there could not have been a better way to spend the day than to be in water. We first had a boat cruise where we sang and danced and even swam a bit also. The real fun started right after as we went banana boating and aboofing holding on for our dear lives trying so hard to not fall into the water. After the water sports and the long morning outside we went back to the hotel to shower and relax. We closed off the night with free time on the boardwalk and Burger’s Bar dinner. When we got back to the hotel we had night sessions focusing on different topics related to Torah and critical thinking.
We are looking forward to rappelling in the famous crater in Mitzpe Ramon tomorrow as well as a jeep ride in Emek Haeleh before we all go our separate ways for our free weekend.
Best,
Rabbi Mike
