Shalom TJJ Bus 5 Family,

Today we continued our Tisha B’Av experience together. The day began with a kinnot program where TJJers divided into their learning session groups and prepared a different time period in Jewish history where a national tragedy occurred. After prep- each group presented their topic to the rest of the program. It was very inspiring to see the creativity and passion that each TJJer put into their respective time periods. 

Following our kinnot program- we screened the film “Walking with the Enemy” which told the story of a Jewish man named “Elek” who dressed up as a Nazi soldier to save hundreds of Jews during the Holocaust.

We ended our program at the hotel with each TJJer taking something small upon themselves that will contribute to the building of the Third Temple. 

To close off the day we went to the Kotel to the site where it all began and heard clouding words from one of our staff members- Noah Marlowe.
