Shalom TJJ Bus 5 Family,
It is great to be back with the group! Thank you everyone for your warm wishes. The move was a bit crazy but everything worked out in the end- as it always does.
Today we finished up the south of Israel. We went to the famous salad trail where we learnt about the drip irrigation system that Israel developed that is literally saving lives all over the world. The system preserves water and gives vegetables the exact amount of water they need to grow to produce in the best way possible. Afterward we went to the city of Sderot and learnt about the courage they live with as they are being threatened from Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The night ended with a really fun “sponge trivia” activity and session on the importance of understanding the reasoning and meaning behind the Mitzvot (Commandments).
Best,
Michael Kahn (Rabbi Mike)
