Shalom TJJ Bus 5 Family,
As we continued our southern travels we began Friday with a very memorable sunrise hike on Mt. Tzfachot. The whole bus woke up for 4:30 AM departure in order to make it for the stunning scene. Afterwards we went back to the hotel got our stuff together and went to the famous natural crater of Ramon where we went rappelling. We then checked into Yerucham where we spent an unforgettable Shabbat together. The theme of the Shabbat was connections and relationships. We heard from various guest speakers throughout the Shabbat as well as sessions delivered by staff. Saturday night we had a dodgeball tournament with the other busses that we were staying with. All in all it was a packed weekend and another incredible week awaits!
On a sadder note our hearts and prayers are with the victims and families of the horrific terrorist attack that was perpetrated this Shabbat in Halamish in the Binyamin Region of the West Bank. Thankfully, our bus was nowhere near this attack and this area of the country is not on the TJJ itinerary.
Our bus continues to be in constant contact with Moked Teva, the premier safety and security agency in Israel. Our bus receives real time security updates and is prepared to change the itinerary at a moments notice if Moked Teva instructs us to do so.
